School Background:

Eponina completed her undergraduate education in Psychology at Montclair State University and obtained a Master’s degree from Rutgers University in Social Work. Eponina has a diverse background of experience working with individuals with severe mental health and behavioral health clients across the life span in an outpatient setting as well as with children in school settings. Eponina is a Latino/South American immigrant and has worked with different cultures and ethnicities with sensitivity and respect. She is bilingual in English and Portuguese.

 

Professional Experience:

Eponina has experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families using various theoretical models and techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness, to fit each individual client’s needs. Eponina draws from diverse theoretical orientations in her clinical work and is experienced working with a broad range of presenting problems, including counseling and substance abuse assessments for individuals and their families, as well as children, teens, and adults struggling with depression, anxiety, and self-harm.
