Reena Corvil completed her undergraduate studies in Neuroscience and Psychology at Brandeis University and obtained a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Monmouth University. She gained valuable clinical experience through internships and post-graduate training in intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization programs, detox programs, and public schools.
Reena has worked extensively with adolescents, adults, and families, employing a variety of therapeutic models including Person-Centered Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Existential Therapy. Her clinical practice addresses a broad spectrum of issues such as depression, anxiety, co-occurring disorders, personality disorders, self-harm, school refusal, and trauma.
Reena’s therapeutic practice is built on a Person-Centered approach, emphasizing empathy and close collaboration with clients to nurture self-acceptance and personal growth. She integrates mindfulness and body-awareness techniques with CBT to enhance life satisfaction and alleviate symptoms of mental health conditions. Reena also employs an existential approach to help clients tackle life’s fundamental challenges and find their place in the world.
Reena has undergone extensive training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy with a focus on mindfulness, enhancing her ability to support clients through skill-building and emotional regulation.

Reena describes herself as calm, cool, and collected, maintaining an easygoing demeanor while being prepared to advocate strongly for her clients. In her free time, Reena enjoys reading, walking on the boardwalk, practicing yoga, and visiting the gym. She also loves traveling and experiencing new things, whether exploring new destinations or changing up her daily routine.
Reena provides therapy for individuals aged 14 to 65, specializing in mood disorders, co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders, and life transitions.
