Samantha Saffioti completed her undergraduate education in Psychology at West Virginia University and went on to attain a Master’s in Social Work from Fordham University.  Samantha has a diverse background of experience working with behavioral health clients across the lifespan in an inpatient and outpatient setting as well as with incarcerated individuals.

Samantha began her career as an inpatient social worker on an acute adult inpatient unit where she initially developed a dynamic set of therapeutic communication, de-escalation and problem solving skills. Samantha’s most recent experience has been counseling special populations at a youth correctional facility providing both individual and group therapy modalities. Samantha uses an integrated orientation of therapy that consists of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy and Mindful-Based Therapy.

Samantha’s techniques and approaches in therapy consider the individual needs of the client and uses a strengths-based approach. Samantha believes in the ability of individuals to maximize their potential for wellness with the right combination of perseverance and supportive interventions.
