Why did you choose to become a therapist?
I chose to become a therapist because mental health is as important as physical health and it should be addressed with the same urgency, so I wanted to be an available resource.
What do you love most about being a therapist?
I love being a safe place for clients during their most vulnerable moments.
What improvements have you seen with your clients in general?
I have seen my clients progress to where they begin to view therapy as a want opposed to a need. In these moments, clients have gained the independence to lead functional lives and return to their sense of normalcy.
How would you describe your personality?
I am outgoing, attentive, and empathetic.
How would you best describe your style, interventions used, and area of focus as a therapist?
My therapeutic style is based on strengths-based and solution-focused interventions. I believe in meeting each individual where they are. I often incorporate CBT and DBT modalities as well as holistic approaches.
What do you love to do for mindfulness, self-care, or in your free time?
I enjoy going to the gym and taking hikes to stay active as a form of self-care. I also enjoy spending time with my daughter and my dog.
What is your favorite quote?
“The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched – they must be felt with the heart.” – Helen Keller
