William Moore completed his undergraduate education at Monmouth University and obtained a Master’s degree from Rutgers University in Social Work.  He completed his post-graduate training at Project 99 and Emmett Powell LLC trained under the live supervision of Helen Heilala-Cassell, LCSW in the area of psychotherapy with adults and children in a diverse population.

William has experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families using various theoretical models and techniques.  William draws from diverse theoretical orientations in his clinical work and is experienced working with a broad range of presenting problems, including counseling and substance abuse assessments for individuals and their families, counseling for LGBTQ individuals and their families, counseling for adults and children affected by domestic violence, trauma, single-parent and divorce families, as well as children, teens, and adults struggling with depression, anxiety, bipolar, autism, crisis intervention, and self-harm.

He is a member of National Association of Social Workers and have completed trainings in trauma, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI),  Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and has worked with individuals, couples, and group counseling for a variety of diagnosis including Borderline Personality Disorder, Dually diagnosed individuals, and Dissociative Identity Disorder.

William completed his Post Graduate training at the NJ Department of Child Permanency, and Protection Services under the live-supervision in family therapy with a focus on social justice among a diverse client population.

William uses various mindfulness and body-awareness techniques to increase life satisfaction measures and decrease any symptoms of anxiety and depression.  He also integrates principles of Cognitive Behavior Therapy with various mindfulness techniques to bridge mind and body awareness.
